CEO Joris Veldhoven to participate in plenary session
March 23, 2023 (Baltimore, MD) – Atlantic Shores Offshore Wind, (“Atlantic Shores”), a 50:50 partnership between Shell New Energies US LLC and EDF Renewables North America, today announced that CEO, Joris Veldhoven, along with eight Atlantic Shores team members, will have presenter roles at the 2023 International Offshore Wind Partnering Forum (“IPF”). The company will be exhibiting at Booth #456.
“As developer of the largest clean energy project in New Jersey, we are excited to participate in IPF 2023 and meet with likeminded organizations and individuals with one common goal – responsibly developing offshore wind,” said Joris Veldhoven, chief executive officer of Atlantic Shores Offshore Wind.
Hosted by the Business Network for Offshore Wind, IPF is the premier offshore wind conference in the Americas. Industry experts from around the world converge to share best business practices, the most advanced technical and scientific findings, and policy updates impacting offshore wind.
Throughout the conference, Atlantic Shores employees will provide their insights and expertise on offshore wind during the following sessions:
- Renee Sotelo, procurement & contracts specialist, will speak as part of Central Atlantic Supplier Day during the Developer Perspectives session. Her presentation will take place on March 28th at 11:00 a.m. at the Reginald F. Lewis Museum in Baltimore.
- Rain Byars, technical and delivery director, will participate in a variety of panels and workshops:
- Present at the Offshore Wind Compliance Recommended Practice 1-5 Briefing. The briefing will focus on offshore wind compliance standards and will offer an overview of the five offshore wind recommended practice documents. The session will take place on March 28th from 1:30 p.m. to 2:30 p.m.
- Co-chair a panel on offshore wind compliance on March 28th from 2:30 p.m. – 4:30 p.m.
- Moderate a panel, “From Vision to Reality: Achieving Net Zero by 2050”, that will ask leaders in the offshore wind space what our energy system will look like when we have achieved this mission and what steps do we need to take to get there? The panel will take place March 29th at 1:00 p.m.
- Lexi Reynolds, deputy package lead – export cables and DEI team lead, will speak about creating a more diverse and inclusive offshore wind industry as a panelist at this year’s International Offshore Wind Partnering Forum (IPF). Her panel, “Putting People First: Approaches to Fostering Diversity Within Your Organization”, will take place March 29th at 2:00 p.m.
- Richard Mansion, installation manager, will participate in a panel focused on a Joint Industry Program called Jack-up Renewable Energy Guidelines, or JREG. The panel will offer insights into the development of site-specific assessment guidelines for jack-ups used to install offshore wind farms. The session takes place on March 29th from 4:15 p.m. to 5:15 p.m.
- Procurement manager Pierre-Emmanuel Gouelleu will share project updates and answer supplier-focused questions as part of the “What’s New and Spinning” session from 3:40 p.m. – 4:05 p.m. on March 29th.
- Deanne Hargrave, geoscience manager, will speak about the standardization of scientific data and data sharing opportunities for the offshore wind industry, as a panelist on March 29th at 2:30 p.m.
- Nathalie Jouanneau, JV strategy & portfolio manager, will be a panelist in the Scaling for Success: Growth Strategies for Developing Organizations session, and provide an overview of current challenges in the offshore wind industry and discuss practical solutions informed by real-world experience. The session will take place on March 29th at 1:00 p.m.
- Jennifer Daniels, development director, will participate in a WindTV Studio interview on March 30 at 10:30 to share her thoughts on current and future state of the offshore wind industry. It will be broadcast live from the exhibit hall to the Network Booth and televisions screens though the Baltimore Convention Center, as well as live-streamed on social media platforms.
