Head of Projects

Mr. Hughes has worked in the energy sector for more than 30 years, delivering value in a variety of senior roles for large-scale capital projects, developments, and asset management in a range of countries across Europe, Southeast Asia, and West Africa. Most recently he completed his assignment in Brunei Shell Petroleum (BSP) as General Manager Projects and Engineering and successfully led the organization to deliver a diverse range of brownfield, greenfield and rejuvenation projects both onshore and offshore. Key highlights include the restart of major project fabrication in Brunei and the delivery of the extensive asset rejuvenation program. He is passionate about the development of the next generation of project professionals and engineers, committing significant time to competency development through mentoring and coaching. Mr. Hughes is a Chartered Project Professional and Fellow of the Association of Project Management as well as a Chartered Mechanical Engineer and Fellow of the Institute of Mechanical Engineers.
